Forward Fund.
The Community Forward Fund Assistance Corporation (CFFAC) is a Canadian nonprofit that makes loans to, or arranges financing for, nonprofits and charities. Our Fund addresses a gap in access to patient, working capital and provides bridge loans for the sector for small- and medium-sized organizations.
We also provide financial review and coaching services and assessment tools to help build financial skills and capacity in the nonprofit and charitable sector.
We invite you to learn more about us, whether you are a potential impact investor or a charity or nonprofit interested in finding out how your organization could benefit from a loan.

Message from Community Forward Fund Board Chair: New CEO
It’s my pleasure to introduce you to our new CEO and UDP, Derek Ballantyne. Selected after a rigourous process, based on his extensive experience across several sectors, he will form an integral part of the leadership team at CFFAC. He is an expert on finance, in particular on alternative financing for capital projects and was the CEO of several large nonprofit housing companies. He sits on the board of the Laidlaw Foundation and has worked with several nonprofits and charities in Canada and internationally. He has experience working in the GTA, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo and Ottawa. Mr. Ballantyne is fluently bilingual. He will begin his new role as CEO in late November.
